The Return of the 60s
Motown is alive and well – zumindest, wenn man die Veröffentlichungen des letzten Jahres verfolgt. Noch nie wurden nach 1970 soviele ”Neue“ – sprich bisher unveröffentlichte Songs auf den Markt geworfen. Das betrifft sowohl altbekannte Recken wie Marvin Gaye oder Jimmy Ruffin als auch Sängerinnen, die damals im Schatten von den Supremes standen wie Barbara Randolph oder die großartige Brenda Holloway. Letztere hat sogar ein richtiges neues Album eingespielt.
Es gibt also viele 60er und quasi-60er Sounds, gespickt mit aktuellen Nuggets
